Ultimate Recommendation (what I would buy for my baby): Nanobebe Flexy Breastmilk Bottle

• Silicone allows for safe warming and warms fast in a warm water bowl

• Good venting, to prevent your baby from becoming gassy / having discomfort after feeds

• Minimal number of parts so easy to clean

• Easy adapter for direct breast pumping into the bottle

• Shape and angle of the nipple are the key pluses for this bottle! Similar to the breast. The shape is less important if your baby is fully formula feeding, but the angle of the nipple is still helpful

• This company also has a concave shaped bottom of the bottle, making it easy for breastmilk warming with their warmer, but this special bottle is only in BPA-free plastic, not silicone, glass, or stainless steel

• One other option to consider, with many of the important factors, but less ideal:

  • Comotomo

    • Soft, squeeezable silicone bottle with a wide breast nipple

    • Only 3 parts, easy to clean

• For Premature or Slow Feeders: Dr. Brown’s Preemie Bottle – Ultra-slow flow nipple for preemies.

  • This is what we use in the hospital, but only needed if your lactation specialist / medical team in the hospital specify your baby needs a slower flow nipple to feed

  • The slow flow nipple is the unique aspect of this bottle. Con is that this is a BPA-free plastic bottle (okay, but not as ideal as a silicone, glass, or stainless steel bottle)
