Baby Soap recommendations
Our mission is to support parents so that they can feel more informed and confident as they raise their babies 🙂

Ultimate Recommendation (what I would buy for my baby): Eucerin Baby Wash and Shampoo. However, if a soap is working for your baby, continue it! Not every baby needs the most sensitive soaps.
Here are the 4 things to look for:
The soap is fragrance free, alcohol free, dye free, paraben free, and without deodorants.
Try to find soaps with a pH of 4.5-5.5, which is more similar to a baby’s skin. This increases moisture, decreases redness, and decreases scaling of the skin. Baby’s have slighly acidic skin to help protect against pathogens, so we want to maintain it, though often times companies don’t market this
The soap is labeled as “tear free,” meaning it does not irritate the eyes
The soap avoids common preservatives, like phenoxyethanol and benzyl alcohol. This one is optional since sometimes it can be hard to find soaps without these.
These factors are especially important for premature babies, babies with eczema, and babies with already known allergies since they all tend be more sensitive.
